A takeaway from the book of Jeremiah chapter 48.
The best part of this chapter is the promising ending:
Jeremiah 48:47 NLT
47] But I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come. l, the Lord, have spoken!
This is the end of Jeremiah’s prophecy concerning Moab.
After all the judgments that were announced to Moab, a promise and an assurance of restoration
followed.
It goes to show that the Lord is just and at the same time, He is also merciful!
It is written in the Book of Lamentations as well that God doesn’t reject His people forever.
Lamentations 3:28-33 MSG
[28-30] When life is heavy and hard to take, go off by yourself. Enter the silence. Bow in prayer. Don’t ask questions: Wait for hope to appear. Don’t run from trouble. Take it full face. The “worst” is never the worst. [31-33] Why? Because the Master won’t ever walk out and fail to return. If he works severely, he also works tenderly. His stockpiles of loyal love are immense. He takes no pleasure in making life hard, in throwing roadblocks in the way.
What a beautiful and how beyond understanding our Heavenly Father is!
Soak in how privileged it is for you and me to be His children!
